Hello, my name is Bas Van der Zanden. Welcome to Dancing Dutchman. I was born in the village of Budel located at the south of The Netherlands. At the age of 7, my parents asked my brother and I if we were interested in taking dancing classes. We decided to take a shot to have a lesson once a week right in town. I had been always very competitive. In no time, with the help of a very enthusiastic dance teacher, we started doing local competitions amongst the dance schools within the nearby areas. Both my brother and I did very well from the beginning and took home a few trophies after the first competition. The taste of a little success gave a little boy more encouragement to pursue further. And so, it all began…….
